A herb list should be as important as a shopping list or a things-to-do list. If health is your primary concern which it should be, then you should have one. Preferably it should be on the fridge where I usually put mine. This helps me fight those temptations of eating junk.
Making your list should be as easy as when you are making your weekly timetable for meals. I figure since I can't eat one particular dish every single day, then that's how i make my herb list. For example on Mondays I have rosemary chicken, Tuesdays I have garlic bread and so forth. The idea is to incorporate a different herb every single day. This avoids monotony and makes the food appetizing.
I take Aloe Vera juice every morning before anything else. It helps a lot in kick starting digestion and also in keeping the skin clear and bright.
It's also good for acute constipation especially for those with sensitive stomachs after eating lots of meat and white flour products. Also good for hemorrhoids and general digestive problems.
A very strongly flavored herb, rosemary goes great with hearty foods, such as meat and potatoes.
There's nothing as relaxing as camomile tea. If you have stress, anxiety, general tiredness, moodiness, I highly recommend this tea especially in the night as you going to bed. You will sleep peacefully. The swellings went down exceedingly fast. I recommend this herb for those with skin ailments.
Parsley is high in
antioxidants, vitamins A and C, and the chemical apigenin, which may help
inhibit the growth of cancer. I use it on every dish possible, serves well as a garnish. It also helps as an immune booster to help fight allergies, coughs and colds.
I like my food hot and spicy therefore every time I cook I use cayenne powder to give it that spice. Helps in fighting colds and also for those who succumb to boils, its an effective remedy.
Bay leaves are a great herb for adding flavor to stews, soups, and sauces. Helps in colds, sinuses and arthritis. Remember to remove the leaves before serving; they generally should not be eaten whole.
This is yet another favorite of my herbs. It's very potent. One can use it in all food preparations. The versatility and potency of this herb cannot be underestimated. Volumes of scientific research has been dedicated to garlic.
Today garlic has come to public attention for its amazing ability to combat more than half a dozen major health problems of the modern age: cancer, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, immune deficiency diseases, free-radical damage and toxic metal poisoning.
For those who don't like the the natural garlic breath, just chew on a fresh sprig of parsley to freshen your breath. To remove the aroma from your fingers, rub them with natural toothpaste, then rinse.
Ginkgo is Japanese for "silver apricot." Biloba means "two lobes" and
describes the shape of the leaf, the medicinal part of the plant. I use
this herb mostly to alleviate my mood. When I jobless, i fell into
depression but as soon as i started consuming this herb it worked
miracles on me including improving my sexual libido. Take it as an afternoon tea.
Its also well known for increasing circulation to the brain, increasing alertness and memory. It's good for Alzheimer's patients and general mental disorders.
Effective in reducing the inflammation associated with arthritis. I use this herb when preparing my favorite soups.
I take this herbal remedy with every meal that I consume. It's referred to as the "miracle tree" because of its uniquely diverse array of nutritional, medicinal, and purifying properties. Moringa oleifera is a "super food" with incredible potential to greatly improve health and eliminate hunger around the world.
Moringa oleifera tree contains high amounts of protein, all eight
essential amino acids, a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals, and a
large quantity of nutrients and other powerful disease-fighting
Because of its many valuable uses, and the fact that it grows so quickly and easily in semi-arid, tropical, and subtropical climates, Moringa is seen as the world's solution for combating malnutrition, treating inflammation, promoting healthy blood flow, and preventing infection, among other things.
To have your own herb list, I recommend trying out an herb for at least one month consistently. If the herb works for you put in your herb list and experiment with another herb.
